Few captains are held in such high regard by their crew as Haast. Many fledgling sailors eager to earn their sea legs would leap at an opportunity to sail with Captain Haast… not just for his competence but for his generosity. At times, Haast is resistant to change at the shipyard, favoring the old ways over progress.
